Hello friends! I don’t do this often, but I figured I’d share a little about myself and some things I am very excited about, I just can’t contain myself. First off the above picture is just one I took of a Pyrex dish I own and love and have meaning to post for a while. Cute eh? I love the retro Americana imagery.
So anyway, today Brian and I got keys to the house we are going to be renting. This summer we will be slowly transferring from our apartment to a cute, older historic home close to Millikin with lots and lots of space and character. We can’t wait to get settled in andĀ start decorating!
And finally, the thing I am most excited about, today Brian and I are doing a 16 hour road trip (round-trip) to Michigan to pick up a letterpress. I’ve heard people say that when the time is right a press will find you. Suddenly, out of nowhere we stumbled across our perfect match, sooner than we ever expected. We plan to transform the basement of our new house into a silk-screen/letterpress studio and will hopefully be starting a little business. I am so happy that summer has finally arrived and I will actually have a little time to devote to my personal handmade dreams.
And… last weekend I went back to my home home to see my family. Got this cute romper and my sister Grace and I had a fun little photo-shoot! Ahh summer….

Figured I’d share what I’d been up to in printmaking class this semester. These are two prints gone mixed media pieces that I was really happy with.

I drew this for fun a while ago. If crystals grew on circus tents, this is what they would look like.

Happy Friday! Here’s a fun bitty drawing I did the other day. The bite mark on top is from my bunny Rothko, who apparently isn’t a fan of kitty drawings. HaveĀ a great weekend everyone!
